“Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” Expanded Trailer Released Featuring K-2SO; Droid Steals Spotlight!

Lucasfilm recently unveiled "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" trailer last Friday, ahead of its scheduled release date. This time, K-2SO stole the show as the newest addition to R2-D2 and BB-8 is a force to be reckoned with.

"Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" trailer showcases K-2SO uncanny fighting abilities and to his relaxed demeanor while catching a bomb and throwing at the Stormtroopers, killing most of them, per GamesRadar. The droid voiced hollow support from Captain Andor's (played by Diego Luna) instructions to Jyn Erso (played by Felicity Jones), the newest rebel of the rebels, in the newly released "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" trailer.

"I'll be there for you," says the "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" droid K-2SO. "The Captain said I had to."

In Star Wars Databank, K-2SO, pronounced as "Kay-Tuesso," is voiced by Alan Tudyk. The "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" K-2SO is an Imperial security droid that is reprogrammed to be loyal to the Alliance.

"Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" trailer also expands the previously shown scenes when the rebel Baze Malbus (Jiang Wen) lands a direct hit to the head of the All Terrain Armored Cargo Transport (AT-ACT). The rebels were wide-eyed as the AT-ACT merely shook off the direct hit, proving they are too a force to be reckoned with.

Jyn Erso then asked: "Tell me you have a back-up plan..." when the backup showed up firing away at the AT-ACT. The rebels do have a plan in "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story."

According to an article from The DailyMail, the latest baddy for the "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" is Orson Krennic (played by Ben Mendelsohn). Orson can be heard assuring someone, either Darth Vader or Emperor Palpatine: "I will not fail."

Surely, fans of the "Star Wars" franchise will still look forward to the very first stand-alone film. "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" tickets will be available on Monday at 12:01 am.
