Newt Scamander Was Featured In A 'Harry Potter' Movie And It Raised Speculations

Newt Scamander debuted in "Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them" recently and it turns out, his presence was also in a "Harry Potter" movie. Newt Scamander was the one who wrote the book about magical creatures that eventually Harry Potter used.

Recently, it was noticed that Newt played a small role in "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban." Not in Eddie Redmayne's being but his name turned up on Marauder's map. The Marauder's map features the entire Hogwarts and a live sequence of everyone that's in the area. The scene where Newt was featured was when the Weasley brothers first showed Harry the map, according to Cinemablend.

Newt Scamander's presence on the map during the release of "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban" was not noticed until now. The theories started rising about Newt's whereabouts during that time and the connection between his role in "Fantastic Beasts" books and his agenda when he visited Hogwarts.

One of the theories that make sense about his presence at Hogwarts was visiting Dumbledore. Dumbledore was Newt Scamander's teacher at Hogwarts. Dumbledore fought against Newt's departure when he was expelled from the school. Newt's surprise visit to Hogwarts made a huge speculation about what he was doing there.

Newt's appearance to Hogwarts made a speculation about the relevance of his visit. One of the events in "Prisoner of Azkaban" was Buckbeak's execution. Newt is very interested and loving of all animals and his mother did some breeding of hippogriffs. The question arose whether Newt was there to stop the execution of Buckbeak the hippogriff and if he did, he was not successful.

Newt in the Marauder's Map

If it was really Newt that was seen on Marauder's map roaming around in Hogwarts, he would have been 96 years old, according to Movie Pilot. Newt Scamander was born in 1897 and the "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban" took place in 1993 or 1994. Dumbledore would have been 112 years old during that time.

Newt's appearance has raised questions and this interesting revelation comes with expectations from the fans of "Harry Potter" and "Fantastic Beasts." J.K. Rowling has invented incredible twists and the fans are also not taking this speculation lightly. More speculation may arise soon and "Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them" is currently launched in theaters worldwide.
