Marvel fans are broken hearted with the reports claiming that Robert Downey Jr. will be replaced with a new character or will be killed. However, there is no reason to fret because Marvel president Kevin Feige confirmed that RDJ is still "Iron Man."

There is no doubt that many are waiting for "Iron Man 4." The genius, billionaire, playboy and philanthropist superhero is one, if not the most popular Avengers today. Thus, fans lost interest with the movie franchise when rumors spread that Robert Downey Jr. will be replaced in the fourth film.

Per the previous reports, Riri Williams will replace RDJ as the new "Iron Woman." However, Parent Herald reported that Williams new role will be called "Ironheart." Thus, she will not be replacing Robert Downey Jr. and might present a new character instead.

For those who are still hoping for RDJ. to reprise his role in "Iron Man 4" the possibility is high. Kevin Feige told Variety when asked about the future of their big superheroes that it will take time to recast Marvel's popular Avengers.

The Marvel president stressed that Robert Downey Jr. is still "Iron Man" and added that he can't envision anyone else playing the role. Chris Evans also remains the Star-Spangled superhero.

"Iron Man 4" is not part of the titles that Marvel will release for Phase 3. However, there are still hopes for the film in Phase 4 because they are not recasting the role yet. At the time, RDJ is busy with "Sherlock Holmes 3."

Some reports take RDJ's filming with "Sherlock Holmes" as a hint that the star is already moving on from his superhero role. However, Robert Downey Jr. already announced that he is still willing to play one more "Iron Man" film.
