Sony Celebrates 15 Years of ‘Kingdom Hearts’ With A Limited Edition PS4

One of the most beloved RPG's of all time Kingdom Hearts celebrated its 15 years in the gaming industry. To go with the historic event, Sony and Square Enix collaborated to create a limited edition PlayStation 4 console dedicated to the game exclusive to Japan only.

The new Kingdom Hearts PS4 features "Kingdom Hearts" fifteenth anniversary PS4 top cover, original theme, original design package, optional 500gb/1TB versions, Dual shock controllers. The jet black console is decorated with decals that represent the Kingdom Hearts series. The Kingdom Hearts fifteenth-anniversary limited edition PS4 is going on sale in January of 2017.

"Kingdom Hears" was first released for the PlayStation 2 directed by Tetsuya Nomura. The game features a mix of characters from Disney and Square Enix, it also features the different world from famous Disney films. The story revolves around three friends who got separated during an invasion of their hometown.

The main character named Sora was then transported into a different realm where he found two new allies in the form of two Disney character's Goofy and Donald Duck. Their adventures will bring them to different worlds based on Disney movies in order to seal the other worlds from heartless invasions.

The collaboration of Square and Disney produced one of the most beautiful RPG's of all time, which produced 16 versions from different platforms. The next installment, "Kingdom Hearts 3" is currently in development and is scheduled for a 2017 release. Kingdom Hearts 3 is the eleventh installment which follows the main story.

The upcoming version is developed using Unreal Engine 4 and will be available for both PS4 and Xbox One. "Kingdom Hearts 3" will be directed by the same director and it is said to be the concluding chapter of the Dark Seeker Saga. The series though will not end and will still continue through a different theme or storyline in the future, according to LA Times.
