The new title for the "Pacific Rim" sequel has reportedly been disclosed. Meanwhile, Scott Eastwood has been reportedly filming the sequel and photos showing updates on his shooting breaks are now circulating.

Previously anticipated to come out as "Pacific Rim: Maelstrom," the new sequel now has a new title. Legendary Pictures has announced that the new sequel will be released with a replaced title "Pacific Rim: Uprising." The announcement was done together with Legendary Pictures' introduction of Herbert W. Gains as its new executive vice president of physical production and the new title for "Godzilla 2," Movie Web reported.

Production of "Pacific Rim: Uprising" has also started last month. Star John Boyega gave out a teaser photo confirming the start of production. The photo shows a script cover reflecting the initials of John Boyega at the bottom right corner. The script then still carried the old title "Pacific Rim: Maelstrom."

Another update was shared by cast Scott Eastwood. The actor posted on his Instagram account some behind-the-scenes video while filming "Pacific Rim: Uprising" in Australia. The short clip shows a shirtless Scott Eastwood was walking under the rain with his umbrella, to his caravan in between takes, Dailymail noted.

The publication has also shared the photos revealing the activities of Scott Eastwood in between shooting. When it is not his turn to film, the son of Clint Eastwood takes time to tour Australia with his friends. One photo shows Scott was with his friends and took a pose with the iconic Big Banana.

The report also noted that Scott takes time to hit the beach when not in "Pacific Rim: Uprising" production. It seems that the actor really likes dipping in the water as one photo reveals he and his friends were dipped in a giant portable pool.

Furthermore, the new sequel of "Pacific Rim" is reportedly capitalizing on its popularity in China. The report said that the new sequel has included more Chinese stars like Zhang Jin, Lily Ji, Chen Zitong, Wesley Wong, Lang Yingying, Xiao Yang and Qian Yong Chen.
