Emmy Rossum also admitted that she considers portraying the role of Fiona as one of her life's great privileges. The actress also revealed that filming for season 8 will begin in May next year.

As of this time, there is still no official announcement from Showtime regarding season 8 of "Shameless." However, the latest tweet of its lead star Emmy Rossum is a legit confirmation that "Shameless" will continue for season 8.
