"Doctor Who" gave its fans a surprise Christmas gift by releasing its first official trailer for the upcoming season 10. The trailer is quite generous with spoilers revealing what fans can expect in the new season. Meet the new companion of Doctor Who by the name of Bill (played by Pearl Mackie) and see how clueless she is with the world of Doctor Who.

The promo video featured the new buddy of Doctor Who, Bill. Fans of "Doctor Who" can get to know Bill through the clip where the actress gave out some brief descriptions about her role. Fans can also see Bill looking amazed with the world of Doctor Who. Bill seems to be clueless as she was asking a lot of questions in the clip. Season 10 will most likely feature the crazy adventures of Bill with Doctor Who. Bill also teased in the clip that she now sees the world differently.

The 50-second video also teased several details of season 10 by showing some scenes with Daleks, a raging war, and some bizarre worlds. The clip also revealed Matt Lucas' comeback as Nardole.

Noticeably, the clip also featured someone clarifying if the Doctor has lost his sanity. Then the Time Lord responded with "Yes, completely." Does it suggest things will get crazier when the series returns for season 10?

Meanwhile, season 10 of "Doctor Who" will be the last season for showrunner Steven Moffat. The series will have a new showrunner for season 11 and Chris Chibnall will replace Moffat, TVLine noted.

In another report, it was noted that the costume of Bill in the upcoming season 10 trailer appears to be a reminisce of Ace McShane (played by Sophie Aldred), the companion of the Seventh Doctor. The said previous character was designed to be a fighter and not a screamer, Vanity Fair reported.
