Spoilers reveal that Jace will struggle with the repercussions of his decision to be with his father. Jace will embark on Valentine's goal to rule the world together with his own group of Shadowhunters. Fans can expect a darker Jace in the upcoming season 2.

Fans of "Shadowhunters" can expect season 2 to feature several difficult scenarios for Jace. Sherwood told Entertainment Weekly that things will get worse even before things get better for Jace. Valentine's son will struggle with the new information he will receive from his father and it will become more difficult for Jace now that he will be alone, as his friends will no longer be with him.

Sherwood further described Jace to be like a fish out of the water and will be in trouble when season 2 of "Shadowhunters" returns. Will Jace find new allies as his support system? Will he still be able to go back to his friends?

In another interview with ScreenerTV, Sherwood mentioned that Jace will be lost in an unknown place, where he does not know his identity. The actor further detailed that Jace will have to make a huge decision on whether to take the light side or the dark.

Moreover, the upcoming season 2 seems to be bloodier and darker. The teaser video on the official Twitter account of the series emphasized on the tagline "no war is civil."
