Can Sun Break Out Of Prison In ‘Sense8’ Season 2? Can Will Break Free From Whispers? Fans Reacted On Capheus Recast

Prior to the premiere of season 2 of "Sense8," the series aired a Christmas special episode which gave the fans some snippets on the plot of the new season. The episode left some cliffhangers on the fate of Sun and Will (Brian J. Smith). Fans also saw the unexpected recast for Capheus.

Formerly played by Aml Ameen, the Christmas special episode suddenly featured Toby Onwumere as the new Capheus. There were some fans who welcomed Toby with open arms while others do not seem to be happy with the abrupt change.

Fans of "Sense8" took to Twitter their nice welcome messages for Toby Onwumere which include praises for the actor's excellent portrayal of Capheus. Some fans love Toby Onwumere while another fan expressed how impressed he was to see the genuine smile in the new Capheus actor.

However, other fans still prefer Aml Ameen for the role. Some did not like Toby Onwemere's acting while another fan clamored to bring back Aml Ameen for the role.

Apparently, rumors say Ameen had a problem getting along with director Lana Wachowski. Reports say a conflict had flared up at the table read for season 2 and the rift progressed during the filming of "Sense8." Then, the actor abruptly left the series in the middle of filming of season 2. Hence, the show had no choice but to find an immediate replacement, Deadline reported.

Meanwhile, the Christmas special episode left the viewers with a cliffhanger on the fate of Sun. The episode featured the character was put in jail. Will Sun be able to break out of prison in season 2?

Furthermore, the Christmas special episode showed Will's heavy addiction to heroin. Fearing that Whispers (Terrence Mann) might deduce his location as they are still mentally connected, Will believes he should not be aware of his surroundings at any point so Whispers will not be able to locate him and the rest of the team. Will then turns to dosing on heroin so he can keep himself free from Whispers, ScreenerTV noted. Can he overcome his addiction and break free from Whispers when the series returns for season 2?

"Sense8" season 2 is scheduled to premiere on May 5, 2017, on Netflix.
