More 'Gilmore Girls' On The Way? Netflix Has Been Hinting It & There's Already A Plot!

The "Gilmore Girls" revival series on Netflix has ended with a huge cliffhanger with its "final four words." Fans believe that a follow up could happen because of it, despite creator Amy Sherman Palladino saying that nothing has been discussed.

A recent Netflix tweet, however, has sparked more "Gilmore Girls" talk. Is the streaming site hinting at another run for 2017?

In the final episode of the "Gilmore Girls" special, Rory (Alexis Bledel) told her mother Lorelai (Lauren Graham) the big news about her being pregnant. The cliffhanger didn't reveal who the father was. It hinted that a follow up story could answer that looming question.

According to Entertainment Tonight, the Netflix tweet was a reference to an old episode of "Gilmore Girls" that revealed Luke (Scott Patterson) having a biological daughter. But the tweet also changed some of the details to represent Rory's current predicament.

In her pregnant condition, Rory has no serious boyfriend. But she did have a one-night stand with a guy in a Wookie costume, a long-distance boyfriend named Paul, and a dalliance with ex-flame Logan who is engaged to be married to another woman.

The tweet suggested one of these guys could be Rory's baby daddy. According to Time, it could also be an indication that a "future Gilmore Girl" will be learning about her father.

The cast has expressed they would be OK to return to work on the show, should there be more episodes confirmed. "Maybe every two years, do a three-month thing, do four more chapters," Scott Patterson said, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Meanwhile, all seasons of "Gilmore Girls" and its revival series with four 90-minute episodes are still streaming on Netflix. Catch the show by subscribing to the platform. Learn more here.
