OnePlus X Specs & Review: Smartphone to Arrive on Oct. 29 -- Everything You Need To Know [Price & Where To Buy]

It's been a hectic year for OnePlus, but the tech company has no plans of slowing down. After its launching of the OnePlus 2, the Chinese tech company is prepping up again for another big reveal, and, this time, it's for the much-awaited One Plus X.

A recent post of OnePlus on Twitter has confirmed that the rumored device will be launched on Oct. 29. The tweet came with a picture of a big X glowing amidst a dark background with the line, "See you October 29." Apart from its teaser on social media, PC Mag reports that the company's Chinese website also confirmed a similar event in Beijing. The teaser photos on the company's website showed the glowing X in different locations: an empty warehouse, a music studio, a beach, a city and a forest. The news outlet speculates that the promotional images may be an indication of the One Plus X's "far-reaching functionality."

The announcement for the launch comes after the company apologized for the delay of their two previous launches for OnePlus 1 and OnePlus 2. In the forum's section of the company's website, the company admitted that they "messed up" for not reaching the initially targeted shipping dates. However, this time, Reuters reports that the startup Chinese mobile company has entered an agreement with Foxconn Technology to produce their phones in India. This will enable for OnePlus to reach customers faster, especially those in India, who currently hold the biggest share in their target market.

According to Silicon India, the One Plus X device is rumored to sport a five-inch full HD display. Under the hood, it will feature a 1.9 GHz MediaTek processor with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal memory. It will run on the latest Android based Oxygen OS. Also, running out of battery will not be a problem as the One Plus X allegedly comes with a 2,450 mAh battery, giving the user enough juice for the whole day, depending on usage.

Pictures snapped using OnePlus' soon-to-be-launched device will also be crisp with its 13-megapixel back camera and a five-megapixel front shooter for selfies. Previous leaks have also speculated that the One Plus X will have a fingerprint scanner and a double camera setup. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth 4.0 and 4G.

Tagged as "Powerfully Beautiful" on Twitter, fans may have to wait for its launch to prove if the OnePlus X lives up to its tagline. For now, the rumored specs must still be taken with a grain of salt until Oct. 29.
