"Gilmore Girls" fans can't get more excited to see who among Rory's (Alexis Bledel) ex-boyfriends will win her heart in the series reboot. Reports claimed that Rory could possibly end up with Jess (Milo Ventimiglia) based on their conversation and chemistry in the trailer revealed for "Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life." However, actor Ventimiglia explained why Jess had to have that talk with Rory and here is what he said.
"Jess was always the troublemaker, but when you take a troublemaker that's grown up, they are an instigator and more so, a thought provoker," the "Gilmore Girls" actor said in a report from Entertainment Weekly. "That's the role that Jess filled, particularly with Rory: 'I've known who you are but you haven't believed in yourself in a long time, so let me give you some perspective that may help you,'" continued Ventimiglia.
Now that Ventimiglia already clarified his conversation with Rory, could this mean that their relationship will only be at that level? It is still unconfirmed whether Rory will pick a partner from her ex-boyfriends on "Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life." However, hopes of fans are high that she and Jess will be together especially now that Jess is already a changed person.
In a report from Mashable, it was noted that Jess was previously distracted with his family issues and was afraid to get closer to Rory according to relationship therapist Dr. Kimberly Moffit. Moffit said that behind Jess' bad boy attitude is a charismatic and smart man who could definitely connect with Rory. That said, she believes that if Rory will choose one from her ex-boyfriends on "Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life," then Jess is her pick.
