Jessie James Decker Insecured of Her "Extremely Loose Skin" Postpartum

Jessie James Decker, shared her "insecurity" with the public. Over the weekend, she posted on Instagram four snapshots of herself wearing a pink knit bikini pinching her loose belly.

Decker Shows Her Loose Midsection

The country singer said that she wants to be honest that she still feels insecure when she puts on swimsuit sometimes, because of the loose skin in her midsection after three pregnancies. She said that she worked hard to lose all of her pregnancy weight gain. She admitted to gaining 55 pounds in her first pregnancy, and she understands that the reason she has so much loose skin is because two out of her three children were 9 pounds.

The mother of three to husband Eric Decker said that she is one of those "lucky ducks" who did not get one stretch marks because genetically, she has super elastic skin. However, due to her big babies and for gaining so much during her pregnancy, she was left with extremely loose skin.

Decker added that she has had a few breast reduction surgeries and lifts done to try to tighten up the skin on her breasts because her skin was so loose -- they grew to a size G from breastfeeding. "It could reach my belly button," the singer wrote. But now, she was left with really intense scars around her cleavage that she tries to hide out of insecurity.

The 31-year-old mother was surprised to find how much her body has changed postpartum. She said that her ribs expanded to the point that some of her pre-pregnancy dresses could not fit into her anymore, even though she weighs less than how she did without children, and the excess skin around her stomach could not fit into her jeans.

Decker Shares Her Insecurities to Fellow Moms

Decker said that the reason she wants to share this emotion is that she knows that there are a lot of moms out there that feel the same way as her. And sometimes, she just feels frustrated that no matter how much she works out, her skin remains loose and that is something that she has been struggling with from time to time.

The Kittenish founder added that she believes that pregnancy "is such a beautiful superpower" and she does not want to sound like she is complaining one bit, but because she is just a human being, sometimes, the loose skin makes her a little insecure. She said she knows she sounds silly, but it often makes her wonder if she is still sexy to her husband Eric, or if people are looking at her stomach when she wears a bikini. In the end, she admits that those are the things that go through her head sometimes.

Decker concluded her post apologizing for her long story, but it was what she felt when she wore her swimsuit, and she just wants other women to know that she is with them and they are free to vent out if they want to.

Decker Posts About Her Postpartum Figure

Decker has had three pregnancies in just four and a half years. In January 2019, she said that she has "been every shape and size" because she reached 165 pounds with her first child. That was a big change for her body after years of being slim without much effort.

Decker said that there are a lot of people who can lose weight so fast after giving birth and she felt like everyone should live up to those expectations. She is guilty of trying to lose weight two months after having a baby whenever she sees those posts.

She added that after giving birth to her third child, she knows how to take care of her body. She started following the South Beach Diet in January 2019, where she focuses on lean proteins and vegetables while limiting her carbohydrates intake. She also lifts weights to tone up her muscles.

And according to her, this is the fastest that she lost weight from all her pregnancies, and she believes it helps to know what to eat and whatnot. Finally, her goal is to be healthy, happy, and fit, not "skinny."
