TikTok Sensation: Xiomara Rodriguez Makes "Mom Videos" That Her Fans Could Relate To
Xiomara Rodriguez is a TikTok sensation for creating fictional TikTok family members wherein she plays as a Latina mother with tough love for her children, Kimberly and Brayan.
Pulling out memories of those with Latina moms, Rodriguez reenacts some scenarios that she encounters with her mom and shares them with her followers. She told BuzzFeed that she originally made up kids' names such as Cassandra, Jennifer, and Stephanie to refer to common people.
Until she decided to use Kimberly, that was when it started getting noticed by netizens. She said that her first daughter "La Kimberly" was born.
Apart from being inspired by her Mexican mom, Rodriguez drew some of the conversations that she has had as a Latina with her primos and primas to talk about what her "tias" did and told her when she was younger.
She started posting her TikTok videos in 2019 and now, she has already garnered 232K followers and her videos were liked by nearly seven million people.
Fans could not get enough of her funny mom videos saying that they could have the same mom and some even shared the videos with their moms.
Some followers whose mom is not here anymore are also watching because it reminds them so much of their moms. Rodriguez replied saying that she loves her mom so much and she puts her on top of the list so she feels honored when her videos remind the people about their moms' stories, experiences, or even just their moms.
Xiomara Rodriguez's main goal of sharing TikTok mom videos is to bring joy to people by letting them laugh even for just 60 seconds and remind them of the stories and how they dealt with it.
Some people would even ask Rodriguez if their moms were created from the same warehouse because the similarity exceeds even twin siblings with the words that they say.
