Vanessa Bryant Filed Lawsuit

Vanessa Bryant filed a wrongful death lawsuit against Island Express Helicopters, the owner of the aircraft, in February. She said that the pilot was negligent and did not use ordinary care because Zobayan proceeded the flight even though it was foggy and had blinding conditions during that time.

Following Vanessa's lead, family members of Altobelli and Mauser also sued the company for unspecified damages in April. Earlier this month, the aircraft company argued that all the passengers were knowledgeable of the circumstances, particularly the dangers, and had an appreciation of the risks involved when they boarded the aircraft. As was written in the report, the 50-year-old pilot was found to have tested negative for drugs and alcohol.

Vanessa Bryant Paid Tribute to Late Husband and Daughter

The 38-year-old widow spent her lonely days with her family and friends, which included her three daughters, Natalia, 17, Bianka, 3, and Capri, 10 months. On Mother's day, the three girls gave their mother gifts such as a book entitled "Why I Love My Mom" and a charcuterie board.

Vanessa celebrated her birthday this year by paying tribute to her late husband and daughter. She posted an Instagram photo of the letter from Kobe Bryant on May 5 and added a caption that ironically, Kobe had drawn a picture of her with an angel holding her up by an artist on the cover. Then she followed through by saying that she is missing the love of her life and her sweet little Mamacita, who is also a Taurus just like her. Adding to that, she also wrote that she is grateful to wake up to her three sweet girls that day. She wishes that they could all be together again. The five-time NBA champion, Kobe Bryant, was a part of LA Lakers throughout his basketball career. He is considered one of the greatest players in history. In April 2016, he retired after two decades with the team.
