Find the exercise that works best for you, start from a small amount of activity first, and gradually increase the time and intensity as your body adapts to it. Try your best to do light workout exercises every after 30 minutes of sitting.

Do not smoke

Smoking could put you at a higher risk of getting dementia. It could also increase your risk of getting a stroke, type 2 diabetes, lung, and other cancers. Other than that, it also harms blood circulation around the body because it affects the blood vessels in the brain, heart, and lungs.

Ways to stop smoking

  • Talk to your general practitioner about ways on how to stop smoking.
  • Consider using other options on quitting smoking like lozenges or gums.
  • Use a specific date as a motivation to stop smoking, like a New Year's resolution, or you may ask someone to help remind you not to smoke every time you have the urge to smoke.
