Twins Brie and Nikki Bella Proudly Step Up Against Racial Injustice

In this week's episode of "The Bellas Podcast," Brie and Nikki Bella shared their thoughts on the George Floyd incident. The sisters are stepping up against racial injustice.

Brie started by saying that she and her twin wanted to address current events. Their podcast is typically "fun and upbeat."

Brie talks about racial injustice

Brie said that the racist situation has been affecting her. More specifically, what happened to George Floyd had an impact on her. She felt that everyone was affected by it too. In truth, not only individual celebrities but also industries are now responding to the incident. 

Brie continued saying that both she and her sister wanted to speak about it. In the last couple of days, Brie had to get off social media. She did not want to see debates anymore.

She also said that she is blown up by some naive comments of people about racial injustice and family. She could not believe what some people were saying back to her.

Brie's point of view as a mom

She explained what she has been thinking about using a mom's point of view. For her, people are not born racist; they just learn it. It happens in the household when your parents raise you in it. She said that parents must teach kids not to be racist. She also said that parents should teach their children to love everyone and to show kindness.

Brie added that she and Nikki grew up in a family that does not practice racial injustice. She said that they are blessed because their family taught them to treat everyone fairly. No matter what financial status or skin color a person has, the twins treat them equally.

She is encouraging parents to be conscious of the environment where their children are learning things. She also said that she could teach Birdie a lot of things, but she focuses on kindness. She lets her know that everyone is equal, especially in their household.

Nikki also shared her thoughts about racial injustice

Nikki reiterated much of what Brie has said. She also shared that she is confused about why some people mistreat and judge others based on skin color. She said that it is important to speak out and make your voice heard. She said that everyone should use the platforms to stand up for the black community. Adding to that, she said that she would fight anyone who is a racist. She also said that she is disgusted with what the police officer did. Nikki is calling out to all the people to step up as one to see change.

Nikki wants people to have unity

She said that people should be like how they were in WWE. The twins unite as one with their community to create change and stride toward gender equality. Now, Nikki believes that human beings should unite to make changes. She is hoping that people would see this positively and not being hateful.

She said that people are so angry and do not know what to do anymore. Apart from that, people seem to want something to happen constantly.

Nikki expressed that there is no reason for this since we are in 2020. She added that people should never be scared to stand up for your skin color. Finally, she urges their listeners to fight for "unity and love."
