Kathie Lee Gifford Happily Announces Daughter Cassidy Gifford's Marriage with Ben Wierda

Kathie Lee Gifford's daughter, Cassidy Gifford, ties the knot with Ben Wierda.

The 26-year-old bride's manager told People that in Michigan, an intimate setting in his backyard, Wierda, and Cassidy got married. He also said that the couple plans to have a big celebration when it is safe to do so.

Kathie Lee is one excited mama

Kathie Lee shared a photo of her riding a tractor on June 6, where she expressed that she is excited to see her daughter walk down the aisle. She wrote on the caption that she could not contain her joy.

The TV host shared with the public that her daughter was engaged in November. She posted a photo of Cassidy and Wierda hugging. Then she added a caption that said that she is thrilled to announce the engagement of the two.

Adding to that, she said that she is beyond the moon and the stars. In the end, she thanked the Lord for her happiness.

Kathie Lee's growing family

In a series of Instagram Story posts, Cassidy showed off her engagement ring. The happy couple shared posts that look like they were from the day they announced the good news to their friends. Erika Brown, Cassidy's future sister-in-law, also gave her well wishes to the pair. She said her congratulations to the sweetest couple on Instagram addressing Cassidy and Wierda as "B and Lil' C."

She said that God is so good and that she loves them both. Brown got engaged to Kathie Lee's son Cody Gifford a year ago. Kathie Lee also commented on the post saying that she could not stop smiling because her kids are so happy. She also wrote that she is one "happy mama."

Cassidy's hilarious milestone event

Cassidy shared some details that are hilarious about the milestone event days after her fiance proposed to her. She shared on her Instagram Story that when Wierda proposed to her, she was eating a quesadilla. Her brother's fiance gave her a tortilla blanket as a fun engagement gift.

She posted a photo of herself with the blanket on as she lay on a couch. Then she added a caption that said her fiance proposed to her when she was face deep in a quesadilla, so it is embarrassing to tell the story forever. She also mentioned that Brown gave her a tortilla blanket so she would not forget the awkward moment.

After the proposal news, Cassidy shared a smiling photo of her fiance and wrote a loving caption. She said that "it was always you" crediting F. Scott Fitzgerald for his famous line.

On February 10, Cassidy shared romantic photos of her and her fiance. She wrote the caption as "124 days," which indicated that they would soon exchange their vows. She posted yet another sweet photo of them taken in the same shoot on Valentine's Day. She added a caption that said that a wise man once said "for-ev-er" which she credits Squints, "The Sandlot," 93'.
