After receiving complaints about a father's behavior in a hospital in North England, police responded.

A video of the arrest shows how the police dragged the father, Rashid Abbasi, away from his ill daughter's bedside. The video is believed to be from the body camera of one of the police officers.

According to Mail Online, Abbasi's daughter, Zainab, is critically ill, and doctors warned that the young girl should be allowed to die.

The arrest of the father

News says that the arrest came after doctors informed Abbasi and his wife that Zainab was dying. The family was told that the next step for the family was to remove the ventilator helping the 6-year-old daughter.

Abbasi and his wife insisted on carrying out more tests. However, the doctor said that putting Zainab out of the ventilator is the final step.

The doctors tried to tell the family about Abbasi's restricted visiting hours because the staff at the hospital reported that they were "threatened and intimidated" by the father of the critically-ill girl.

A complaint was made to the police because Abbasis allegedly pushed a senior doctor when he stormed out of the meeting where their family was being informed about Zaiinab's health.

After less than an hour, the police appeared in the hospital room and arrested Abbasi.

Things quickly heightened when the father did not want to talk to the officials outside his ill daughter's room.

Video of the arrest

The video began with the police asking Abbasi to step out of the room. His wife tried to convince the police to talk to Abbasi while he was sitting beside their daughter.

The police insisted that they talk outside the room. After more than five minutes, a final warning was given by the authorities.

In the video, the police were seen dragging Abbasi away from his daughter. The father was forced to the ground while being placed on handcuffs. Abbasi was later on brought to the hospital's emergency room and underwent angioplasty the following day.

The incident happened last year in August. The family was only able to share this video in public now because the restrictions were already lifted.

Daughter's condition

Zainab was brought to the hospital in July last year. She was suffering from a rare genetic illness, Niemann-Pick disease. The six-year-old girl had respiratory problems when she came to the hospital.

According to a report, Zainab's parents have been arguing with doctors on her medication instead of withdrawing life support. Her condition, according to her parents, improved during that time.

Rashid is a respiratory expert who was part of NHS for 30 years.

Zainab died in September of last year.
