A metro Atlanta nonprofit organization stepped in to aid 100 single-parent families to give and welcome their kids these holidays 2020.

For a single parent, not only is it already hard taking care of your child, keeping your home clean and warm while making sure that you are doing well in your job, it is harder during these trying times.

There may even be times where you wish to have someone to help you with the things you need to do, just so you can relax, even for just a minute or so. However, that is not the case.

With holidays 2020 waving in the corner, your job becomes tougher. You are now thinking of what these holidays 2020 will bring you, not to mention what you will do to make up for this year full of hardships. As a parent, you want to make sure that your child, despite what is currently happening in the world, can still enjoy the coming holidays and still find joy and warmth.

Helping single parents

A metro Atlanta nonprofit did something to help and support those single parent households with their needs.

3D Girls, Inc., the Atlanta nonprofit, hosted a drive up winter wonderland experience where single-parent families could stop by and receive holidays 2020 toys and gifts for kids ages two to 12.

The nonprofit organization amassed over 2,000 toy donations from their partner agencies and individuals and provided 150 metro Atlanta children with a little something to put under their Christmas trees.

Raioni Madison Jones, head of 3D Girls, Inc., said that with 75% of the single-parent families in the network who are struggling because of their lack of employment, their organization works every day to connect to each family, all in hopes to support their essential needs.

They want to make sure that each family gets what they need, especially during these holidays in 2020.

For the last five years, the metro Atlanta nonprofit 3D Girls, Inc. has hosted the drive to support families, especially the single-parent households in Atlanta, with their needs.

However, due to the pandemic, their drive up is a bit different this time of year, and they aligned their drive with this year's holidays 2020.

Even when there is a pandemic

Despite the change of plans for their drive to support the families, the nonprofit still managed to fulfill their goal, making each household feel seen, appreciated, and taken care of even in just a short period.

Madison said that they know that it has been a tough year.

So, they want to ensure that families, mainly the single-parent households who are single-handedly managing their homes, kids, and their jobs, are seen.

Aside from these, they want to relay the message that there are people who are willing to support them even during these trying times as well as during these holidays 2020 in any way that they know-how. After all, this is the season of love and giving.
