Viral Photo on Google Earth: Father Waiting for His Wife [He Died Seven Years Ago]

A viral photo on Google Earth is making the rounds on Twitter. The viral photo shows a father waiting for his wife. The person who saw the photo was his son.

Twitter user @TeacherUfo shared that his father died seven years ago. The Twitter user is based in japan and he only discovered the photo out of boredom brought by the pandemic.

Seeing the now-viral photo on Google Earth

@TeacherUfo shared on Twitter that he was surprised to find the viral photo on Google Earth of his father. He was at home and was not doing anything when he thought of searching for his parents' house through Google Earth.

That is when he was surprised to see his father waiting for his wife right outside the house. @TeacherUfo also shared that his dad was probably waiting for his mom to return home. He said, "My father must have been waiting for my mother to return home. My father was a quiet but kind man." After seeing the now-viral photo on Google Earth, the surprised son now wishes that the photo will not be updated, just yet.

The netizens' reactions on the viral photo on Google Earth

After sharing the photo of father waiting for his wife on Twitter, the tweet got more than 690,000 likes from netizens. Also, around 120,000 netizens retweeted the post. Some netizens thought that it was a fond memory of his father waiting for wife that @TeacherUfo can keep. Some thought that it was a nice coincidence, "A really nice coincidence. I was crying." Aside from the likes, a lot of netizens also shared their discoveries on Google Earth. Some netizens also saw their loved ones who already passed away years ago, through the application. One netizen shared, "I also have my late grandmother in the picture and saved it!"

However, some were unsuccessful to see what they hoped to see. A Twitter user shared, "I wondered if my father, who died six years ago, could be seen, but unfortunately he wasn't there."

According to Times Now News, the application Google Street View also became the means for a man to find his wife cheating.

The man who saw his wife cuddling another man was using Google maps to look for a way to reach a popular bridge in Peru.

However, he noticed that the woman in the photo, stroking another man's hair was wearing the same clothes which his wife had.

The man confronted his wife and the woman admitted that she had an affair.
