Besides parenting being a fulfilling job, there are undoubtedly little joys that make parenting an exciting one. Those little joys include dressing up the kids.

Even before their parents dress up these kids in Pittsburgh, their nurse at the Mother/Baby Unit of the hospital already took the initiative.

Nurse Caitlin Pechin works at the Magee-Women's Hospital. She is assigned to the hospital's Mother/Baby unit and wanted to celebrate every child's birth.

That is why she decided to make handmade chick costumes for the newborn babies in their unit.

The Handmade Chick Outfits

Because spring is just around the corner, nurse Caitlin wanted to ensure that the hospital's newborn babies are all warm and cozy. She crocheted all the chick outfits for the babies. This outfit included a white blanket and a yellow beanie.

In an article by PEOPLE, Pechin said that she wanted to do something fun this spring, thus, the handmade chick costumes.

She said in a video shared by Good Morning America, "I've been dressing the babies up in these little chick outfits for spring. It's really nice because everyone's had a really long winter."

Parents Are Super Happy

The Magee-Women's Hospital shared in the Facebook account some of the photos of parents and their babies who were wearing the handmade chick costumes.

One of the families is a couple who welcomed their twins. The mother of the twins said that they are happy and excited. She is also grateful that the hospital staff is involved in welcoming their little ones.

She said, "I really enjoy watching these families enjoy these costumes because it just brings me joy to see their new little one who is already really precious just be dressed up in a cute little outfit." Pechin believes that the costumes only make the newborn babies more adorable.
