Newborn babies that are staying in the hospital NICU in Florida are cutely dressed-up for Halloween. In an adorable photoshoot for the newborn babies at Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare, the babies are seen "celebrating" Halloween while at the Newborn Intensive Care Unit (NICU).

The hospital posted the photos of the newborn babies on their official Facebook account. Since then, the photos have gone viral, with more than 12,000 shares.

The Halloween tradition

According to the hospital's Facebook post, celebrating Halloween in the newborn intensive care unit is a yearly tradition. The post says, "Halloween in the NICU is one of our favorite traditions, and this year is no exception! Thank you to our incredible NICU team for making such an uncertain time so special for these little ones' families."

The staff at the Newborn Intensive Care Unit (NICU)  of the hospital crafted all of the costumes of the Florida newborn babies.

Some of the cute and adorable costumes of the Florida newborn babies were an Almond Joy and M&M candies.

Aside from these, some babies were dressed as a strawberry, popcorn, fairy, lamb, and more.

The photos were posted last October 26, and since then, more than 12,000 people have shared the photos already.

Keeping the spirits high

In a statement obtained by Good Morning America from the Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare, they shared that this initiative of the staff is a way of making the families feel better.

The hospital said, "Having a baby in the NICU can be very stressful for new moms and families." The healthcare provider understands that things are more difficult mainly because of the coronavirus pandemic.

The initiative of the NICU staff is also a way to make the environment in the NICU more peaceful. They said, "Bringing the Halloween fun to these little ones and their parents is just one of the many ways our team works to normalize the NICU environment and keep families' spirits high."

The netizens' reactions

More than adoring the Florida newborn babies most of the netizens are also thankful for the staff who thought of the initiative. One Facebook user said, "I am so thankful for this hospital!!!! The nurses and doctors took such good care of our daughter when she was diagnosed with meningitis. World class!"

Aside from the nurses' hardwork in dressing up the babies, the netizens also noticed the effort in giving cute captions for the photos.

A netizen shared, "This is so, so precious! Awesome job! What a wonderful idea for those babies and their families! And shout out to who came up with the adorable, clever captions too!"
