Chris Pratt and Katherine Schwarzenegger Expand Their Family with Second Baby

Chris Pratt is going to be a father for the third time as he and his wife Katherine Schwarzenegger are expecting another baby after having Lyla Maria in 2020.

Sources from the couple's camp confirmed to People that Schwarzenegger is expecting again. This baby will be Pratt's third child as he also has a nine-year-old son, Jack, with his ex-wife Anna Faris.

Pratt and Schwarzenegger have yet to personally comment on the news of the pregnancy. The news comes after Pratt drew some backlash for comments he made on social media, which his followers thought was an insult to Jack and Faris.

'A Healthy Daughter'

In November, Pratt posted that he's very thankful that Schwarzenegger gave him "a healthy daughter" but some of his followers thought he was throwing shade at his ex-wife and their son, who was born premature and has been through a series of surgeries because he has a disability. Pratt didn't respond to the criticisms directly but admitted, following his post, that he went to sleep depressed and upset and then soothed himself by listening to Christian music.

His friend, Joe Rogan, recently came to his defense and said that Pratt has been attacked online for his Christian beliefs. Though Rogan said that Pratt is "kind of outside the lines" about his ideology, he also claimed that the "Guardians of the Galaxy" star is the nicest guy he has ever met. He said that Pratt is very nice to people "from all walks of life" and has witnessed how he is with regular folks.

The pregnancy announcement also comes just days after Schwarzenegger celebrated her birthday and her husband gushed about her on his Instagram. The actor said that his wife is a "complete boss" and he would be lost without her by his side. He also thanked Schwarzenegger for his growth in the years they've been together.

Pratt and Schwarzenegger met in church and started dating in 2018 or a year after the actor and his ex-wife announced their separation. A year into their relationship, Pratt confirmed that he and Schwarzenegger got engaged and were married a few months later.

Faris Opens Up About Pratt

In 2016, Faris revealed in a podcast show that her marriage to Pratt was a great relationship but they navigated a "crazy world" where his career as a movie star was picking up while Faris remained at home to raise their Jack. The actress said it made her feel very vulnerable and insecure and acknowledged her normal, human feelings.

The ex-couple are believed to be co-parenting Jack together as Faris is now with her new husband Michael Barrett. Faris said that she and Pratt communicate openly for the sake of their son and they have spent time together with their new partners and Jack.

The actress also said that she and Pratt do not bear grudges against each other. Faris said she's genuinely happy when she found out that her ex-husband and Schwarzenegger have decided to get married and start a family.
