Rihanna announced that she is pregnant with her first child with boyfriend A$AP Rocky in the most iconic way.

The 33-year-old Umbrella singer confirmed that she is expecting their first baby with her boyfriend by strolling the streets of New York in an $8,000 bright pink, vintage Chanel coat, and jeans. She wore no shirt under the coact that showed her baby bump, which she adorned with necklaces.

Photos also showed A$AP Rocky placing his hands over hers and the couple sharing a kiss. A$AP or Rakim Athelaston Mayers in real life, and Rihanna dated early 2020.

The couple worked together on a remix of Rihanna's track, Cockiness. They got acquainted when they began performing and touring together in the 2010s. The two remained friends for decades before confirming that they were officially dating in the fall of 2020.

Although the couple kept their relationship behind closed doors, A$AP declared that Rihanna was "the one" in an interview. "I think when you know, you know. She's the One." He also described their relationship as "so much better when you got the One," he said.

He also said that his beauty mogul girlfriend "amounts to probably, like, a million of the other ones."

Keeping the baby bump under wraps

Fans had been speculating that Rihanna was pregnant since November of 2021 when she visited Barbados to accept the National Hero Award. Her silk halter gown showed what appeared to be a baby bump, but Rihanna dismissed the news. Fans wondered how she had managed to keep the baby bump a secret from the public over the last few months.

A fan once asked her if she could come to her baby shower, to which the singer replied, "Ha! Stop! You ain't come to the first 10 baby showers! Y'all breed me every year d**n it lol."

Rihanna has hardly been hiding, being photographed out several times over the last few months. Femail reviewed Rihanna's photos for the past months and noted that her baby bump was well hidden using loose clothing.

The couple has yet to comment on their baby news or reveal when their first child is due. Despite not revealing the gender, some netizens have speculated that her pink coat was meant to say that she is expecting a girl.

Although the couple successfully kept the pregnancy private until their recent announcement, Rihanna has expressed wanting to have kids a few years back. When asked in 2020 where she sees herself in ten years, the singer admitted that she wanted to have three or four kids.

Since the couple posted their romantic walk in New York showing the baby bump, several celebrity friends such as Cardi B, Nicki Minaj, Camila Cabello, and Zara Larsson took to social media to send their congratulatory messages on her pregnancy.
