Barron Trump may be the most private of all Trump family members. While he likes to keep to himself, anyone who may encounter the youngest son of former Pres. Donald Trump, in real life, will likely not have any trouble spotting him because of his towering height.

In 2021, the 16-year-old was said to be 6'7" tall, or five inches taller than his father, who is 6'3", while his mother, Melania, is 5'11".

However, a recent viral photo showing Barron with an old lady has netizens gushing over his height once again because it seemed like the teenager had another growth spurt, according to Cheat Sheet.

Netizens can't help but comment that his mother's side of the family belongs to the West Balkans, arguably some of the tallest people in the world. Some assumed that Barron might be taking growth hormones because his father is allegedly obsessed with height.

Growth spurt during the teenage years

According to Johns Hopkins Medicine, it's not unusual for teens to grow several inches taller between 13 to 18 years old because of the hormonal changes in their bodies. Coupled with the height increase, teenage boys will also notice the enlargement of their sexual organs and the appearance of hair around their groin, under their arms, and on their faces.

Mentally and socially, teenagers will also go through many changes that will allow them to hone their abstract thinking and motivate them to set their long-term goals. While every child's progress is different, most adolescent children will also start expressing their interests in social issues and learn to understand the value of independence and control of their life.

The experts noted that parents must be ready to guide and encourage their kids during the growth spurt years. Their bonding time with their teens is more crucial than ever.

Melania likes calling her son the Little Donald because they bond over many activities together. They play golf frequently and have special dinners, just the two of them.

The former first lady also said Barron's father insisted that a nanny should not raise him, but he should receive hands-on care from his parents, per People. The former president said that he prefers to keep their household staff to a minimum because if they always have people waiting on them, they will not be able to get to know their son.

Donald Trump thinks football is dangerous for Barron

The older Trump is quite protective of his youngest child and has stated in interviews that he hopes Barron will not be interested in football because it is a dangerous sport. The former president said that football helmets had improved in recent years but still haven't resolved the problems of concussions and similar issues.

According to Nicki Swift, Barron instead plays soccer as a midfielder and follows Arsenal FC in the Premier League. Donald, however, said that if his son should decide to play football, he will not get in his way because Barron should learn to make the choices for himself.
