"James Bond" and "Mama Mia" star gave the sweetest birthday greetings to his wife of 21 years, and the netizens could not help but be intoxicated with love.

Pierce Brosnan took to Instagram Monday to greet his wife, Keely Shaye Brosnan, as she celebrated her 59th birthday. The 69-year-old Hollywood actor posted a photo of them in the tropics and captioned it with the sweetest message, "Happy Birthday my darling @KeelyShayeBrosnan. I love you dearly. So many years of love, life, work and play. Onwards we go!"

Secret to marriage

The Brosnans got married in August 2001 in Ireland. They have two handsome sons - Dylan, 25, and Paris, 21.

When People asked Pierce years ago about the secret to their marriage, Pierce said the key ingredient to their happy and long marriage is spending quality time together.

He recalled how they took a short road trip to Barbara for a romantic weekend getaway looking at houses and drinking wine, and just listening to each other's voices the entire trip and "sorting out the world."

Pierce Brosnan is known to be head over heels in love with his wife. Whenever he talks about Keely, he cannot help but utter the most romantic, loving words.

Who would ever forget Brosnan gushing over his wife in an interview with the Independent back in 2016, wherein he said he loves her vitality, passion, and amazing strength that he could not live without. He added that when his wife looks at him, he goes "weak."

Brosnan doesn't want his sons to become actors

Father and sons honored the British GQ magazine with their presence in its September edition. Surprisingly, Dylan revealed that he does not tell anybody about his father "under any circumstances," thus his friends were shocked to find out that his father is THE Pierce Brosnan.

Brosnan has advised his sons against becoming actors. Simply because it's hard work, he said. He further described acting as a "cross to bear," where one constructs and deconstructs oneself. Brosnan has always advised them against careers in acting.

And the "Brosnan boys" have taken their father's advice by heart as they have pursued other creative careers.

Dylan is into music, posting psychedelic demos to SoundCloud, offers his service whenever a band is in need of a bassist, plays every instrument, and would want to have his own record one day.

On the other hand, Paris paints and surfs and has walked the runways for Balmain, Dolce & Gabbana, and Moschino.
