'The Banner Saga 2' Release Date: Gameplay Title Delayed, Out Early 2016? -- 5 Things We know [Rumors]

Fans of the Viking-themed tactical role-playing videogame "The Banner Saga" series will surely be disappointed with this report. "The Banner Saga 2's" release date was pushed back to 2016.

In a Facebook post, the developer did not comment on the delay. However, they happily announced the development of "The Banner Saga 2."

"The console ports of the Banner Saga are in full effect. We are currently wrapping up development for the first game now (in with 1st party submission)," they wrote. "The delays in the console is mainly game development fun, but we have also spent time working on console specific controls to make it perform as a console game, more than just a port."

They stressed that the development of "The Banner Saga 2"  is progressing wonderfully and gamers who attended Gamescon and PAX have witnessed it. "The board game is being developed by MegaCon Games and in no way has affected our development on porting Banner Saga to consoles nor has it caused any delays to Banner Saga 2," the developers added.
