Kate Middleton to Stay with Parents for Six- Week Postnatal Care

Kate Middleton's uncle Gary Goldsmith has confirmed that the Duchess of Cambridge will be staying with her parents after delivery for at least six weeks.

In an interview to The Telegraph, Goldsmith said that Kate has taken the right decision of staying with her parents, Carole and Michael Middleton, for post-natal care. "The fact that they're taking the baby to Carole's for the first six weeks is genius," he said. "Carole's a brilliant mum - she is 10 years older than me and practiced on me - and I think it's the right thing to do. It will take the pressure off Kate."

Here again, Kate and Prince William will be breaking with royal tradition by not taking the baby straight to the palace after its birth. Goldsmith said that the main reason why Kate decided to stay with parents was that the royal couple's apartment at Kensington Palace is under renovation and wouldn't be completed till baby's birth. The Middletons' Gregorian manor is located in Bucklebery, which is a 45-minute drive from London.

Praising Kate and William, Gary said that both are doing "fabulous" as parents-to-be. "Kate's doing brilliantly in that role. She's made the Royal family more accessible. And you throw a baby into that mix - they're going to do it fabulously," Gary added. "You just know that the baby is going to be introduced to the public fantastically well."

Recently it was reported that Kate is taking suggestions from her friends to choose where and how she will be giving birth. "Kate has researched various birthing methods. She wants it to be natural, so HypnoBirth is one option that appealed and she has been reading up on it and listening to CDs to get into the right frame of mind," an unnamed source told the Grazia magazine. "Some of her friends have used this method and swear by it. Kate wants to do it her way and to be relaxed."
