'Clash Royale' Update, Release Date, Download & Gameplay: Supercell Announces Newest 'Clash of Clans Spin-off -- Everything You Need to Know! [VIDEO]

The super successful online game and game application "Clash of Clans" is finally getting its very own spin-off. This was announced and confirmed by the game developers, Supercell. The good news about the game is it also takes place in the same universe as "CoC".

Entitled "Clash Royale", the game itself uses a card-based gameplay, which is a strategical game just like Clash of Clans. Players of "Clash Royale" harness their power through a form of card-collectable troops and spell, which they must strategically be able to know when or where they should deploy their spells and troops.

"Clash Royale" players will be able to build a deck of cards from their very own card collection and deploy their troops and spells in a one-on-one battle against other players. If the troops are extremely powerful, the players need to deploy more power to bring them to the field.

"Clash Royale" has been heavily publicized by Supercell even taking a $9 million commercial spot on Super Bowl, which starred Hollywood A-lister Liam Neeson. The "Clash Royale" commercial video has been watched over 90 million times on video streaming site YouTube showing just how curious people are of the "Clash of Clans" spin-off.

Supercell recently soft launched "Clash Royale" in countries New Zealand, Australia, Canada, Hong Kong, Finland, Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Iceland. It is expected to be available globally in the upcoming month.

"Clash Royale" is free to download and, just like "Clash of Clans," one can purchase in-app. The game has all the troops, spells and defenses from "CoC" together with Knights, Babes and Dragons.

As to the success of the game it is yet to be known. If Supercell will successfully launch "Clash Royale" globally despite having two soft-launched games that were unsuccessful in reaching global blowout, then it might make the universe of "Clash of Clans" a force to be reckoned. As of now there is no specific date as to when the game will launch globally.
