Bluetooth-Enabled Pregnancy Test Is Now Available!

First Response has recently launched its new pregnancy test kit at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas. Astonishingly, the new kit isn't just like any other ordinary stick as it does allow users to sync their smartphones with the latest product through Bluetooth.

"It syncs to an app on a woman's phone to not only guide her through the test-taking process but also provide her with tons of content and information immediately upon receiving her result," Wendy Bishop from First Response explained to CBS Local.

The bluetooth pregnancy test works on the same principle as that of a traditional pregnancy stick, the only difference is, it uses Bluetooth to provide further guidance to the users. For example, if the test result is positive, then the app will give the user her estimated due date and would suggest a list of better questions to ask her doctor. The app also allows the user to share the good news to her loved ones if she wants to.

But if the result says negative and the user wants to get pregnant, the app can guide her on how to track her ovulation. Users can also gain knowledge about conception by just using the app as it is filled with fertility tips.

According to International Business Times, it takes three minutes for the kit to analyze the result. But while waiting, users can choose between multiple options: 'calm me option', if the user wants a soothing view; 'entertain me', if she wants to be amused; and go for the 'educate me option', which provides information about pregnancy.

The Pregnancy Pro birth already hits shelves this spring and each stick costs nearly $15 to $22 per test, which is quite expensive than any other ordinary pregnancy kit -- having the price more than 3x the cost of the current available sticks, as per GeekWire report.
