Microsoft Lists More Backwards Compatible Titles For Xbox One [VIDEO]

For gamers who are still waiting to play their favorite Xbox 360 game on Xbox One, the wait may be over. Microsoft announced a new list of backwards-compatible titles.

The first list of games compatible with Xbox One was released in November. Gamers have the possibility to cast their votes on Xbox Forum for a certain game to be added on the list. According to PC Mag, Microsoft declared that gamers have already played on Xbox One over 21 million hours of Xbox 360 games.

The high-tech American company will change the way it launches in the future new backwards-compatible titles for Xbox One. According to a statement of the Xbox team, rather than setting a monthly launch date as in the past, Microsoft will release titles right away as they become available. Gamers will not have to wait for the latest titles, since the company will release whatever is available.

Among the games added on the backwards-compatibility list are included "Aegis Wing," "Age of Booty," "Jeremy McGrath's Offroad," "Space Giraffe," "Counter-Strike: GO," "Skullgirls," "Small Arms, Soulcalibur," "Sam & Max Save the World" and "The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings."

For those gamers who never played "The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings," the good news is that the game is available for free download on Xbox.com. The offer is available for users of Xbox 360 and Xbox One in the Germany, France, U.K, Canada and U.S. until Feb. 5.

The second version of the Witcher saga allows players to assume the identity of a witcher or professional monster slayer called Geralt of Rivia. When hunting down an assassin, the hero of the game becomes involved in the political turmoil that has engulfed Temeria, according to a blog post by the Xbox team.

They added that the non-linear storyline is intense and emotionally charged. Players can experience the expansive and complex adventure by using the magical abilities and sword skills of the hero Geralt of Rivia.
