Kim Kardashian-West is losing two pounds a week because of Atkins Diet. Colette Heimowitz her Atkins Nutritionist suggested this diet plan because the reality star is breastfeeding her newborn Saint West.

This diet meal plan allows her to get enough protein from fish, meat, and chicken, according to People. Sources say that Kim already lost 30 pounds because of this diet.

Kim is following the 40 program of Atkins Diet. Heimowitz said that this meal plan is heavy on protein and vegetables. This diet also allows Kim to get the right amount of carbohydrates that is fit for her body.

"This diet also allows low-glycemic fruits such as berries and nutritious fats such as Greek yogurt, nuts, olive oil and small servings of cheese," Heimowitz revealed. "On Atkins you can take in more calories than you would on a typical low calorie diet and lose actually more weight."

Kim's nutritionist Heimowitz also shared that Kim has been hitting the gym, jogging, and working hard. She added that Kim is smart, motivated and committed.

"She's also exercising, so she'll sculpt her body with a personal trainer and lose 40 lbs. of fat with us, and if it's two to 3 lbs. a week it will take a couple months," Heimowitz said.

Sources say that Kim has been sharing her mommy life and her weight loss goal on her social media saying that she's surprised that she has some free time to do her workouts. She's determined to lose more pounds after she gained a whopping 60 pounds due to her pregnancy with Saint West.

"I'm so excited! I'm 30 lbs down today but 40 to go! I'm so focused. I will show u guys my workouts on my app & share my Atkins plan too!" she tweeted.
