Gwyneth Paltrow And Chris Martin Update: Ex-Married Couple Remain Friends And Still Dedicated To Their Kids

Many married couples, who divorce or separate, are unable to come to terms as friends after the split. However, "Iron Man" superstar Gwyneth Paltrow and her former husband and Coldplay frontman Chris Martin do not share this problem at all.

According to the report from LA Times, the two stars have remained good friends and were able to stay a family even after going through the divorce. The Academy Award-winning actress further explained that they now treat each other more like siblings than ex-spouses.

"The ideal is to stay married. But if you can't stay married, wouldn't the ideal be that you could still be a family and you could put aside your own stuff long enough to explore -- what is this new family and who am I in it?" Paltrow shared. She also revealed that Martin is a great former husband because he is united with the actress's goal of being friends and staying devoted to their children -- 11-year-old Apple and 9-year-old Moses.

The 43-year-old actress also talked about how she spends time with her ex-husband, "So ... we're not living together, but he's more than welcome to be with us whenever he wants." Paltrow also revealed that she also sleeps in Martin's Malibu house with the kids a lot of times.

The "Shakespeare in Love" star and "Hymn For The Weekend" singer still spends holidays and some weekends together and functions much like a family but without the romance. The actress is currently dating 45-year-old Brad Falchuk, a story co-producer for hit television shows such as American Horror Story" and "Scream Queens".

Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin decided to separate back in 2014 and the actress talked to Marie Claire about her reasons for the split. "I really had the sense that I wasn't allowed to have needs, and I had to prove my specialness or self-worth by doing all this stuff and taking care of everybody else, and I just sort of hit a wall."
