Will Smith Parenting Tips: 'Suicide Squad' Star Talks About Being A Parent To Willow And Jaden Smith

Will Smith is known as a very dedicated actor, appearing in great films such as "Concussion", "Bad Boys", "Independence Day", "Men in Black" and many more. But to his family, he is also known as a very dedicated and unique parent.

In an interview with BBC's 1xtra via COMPLEX, the "Suicide Squad" actor talked about being a parent to his two kids: 17-year-old Jaden Smith and 15-year-old Willow Smith. The "Concussion" actor also explained that he and his wife Jada Pinkett Smith allow their kids to express themselves freely and be as creative as they want to be with their fashion and career choices.

"You have to be comfortable doing things that you could fail," Smith shared. "Jaden is 100 percent fearless, he will do anything. As a parent it's scary, it's really terrifying, but he is completely willing to live and die by his artistic decisions and he doesn't concern himself with what people think." Smith also explained that they give Willow the same freedom that they give Jaden even though she is a girl.

In a separate interview with U.S. Weekly, Jada says that she makes sure that her daughter Willow has control over her own body. "I made a promise to endow my little girl with the power to always know that her body, spirit and her mind are her domain."

Will also revealed in an interview with Metro via E Online that he and his wife do not punish their kids for doing something wrong because of their belief that punishment can have a negative impact on their children. Instead, the married couple gives as much control and freedom to their kids as possible.

The whole Smith family has been very busy lately. E Online reported that Willow Smith recently released her new album "Ardipithecus" while Just Jared reported that Jaden Smith is the new face of Louis Vuitton's Spring / Summer 2016 ad campaign collections.

As for their parents, Jada Pinkett Smith is still playing the villainous Fish Mooney on the hit Fox TV series "Gotham" while her husband Will Smith will star as Deadshot in the hotly anticipated DC Entertainment comic book movie from Warner Brothers called "Suicide Squad".
