1.       Instead of eating breakfast, exercise.

This may not sound so good to others, but reality is whenever you fast, your body starts burning fat. So if you don't eat breakfast, and would fast from 8 p.m. until noon the next day, the fat-burning mechanism of your body is working for an extended period.

2.      Go for a hamburger instead of chicken breast.

This may raise some eyebrows, but this method is backed by scientific facts. You have to accept it, chicken isn't as healthy as it used to be. With chicken today having only 63 percent of protein, it is better to go for beef, which contains conjugated linoleic acid (CLA). This fat has been associated with muscle gain and fat loss. It's no wonder body builders eat more beef than chicken.

3.      Include starch in your lunch menu.

The Nutrition & Metabolism journal revealed that when you add resistant starch in your diet such as potatoes and bananas, it amps up the body's fat oxidation process. So although starch is high in calories, the body benefits more from its fat oxidation property.

4.       Exercise and Omega-6

According to a Yahoo News report, researchers from the University of South Australia found that combining exercise, such as running, with Omega-6 supplements can dramatically lead to weight loss. In the study, the groups that only relied on the supplements did not experience such weight change.

5.      Replace vegetable oil with coconut oil.

According to Authority Nutrition, coconut oil increases your energy expenditure; hence, it helps you burn more body fat. Another health benefit is that people who eat coconuts are considered as healthier compared to those who don't.
