Boy From Virginia Who Fell In Love At 8 Years Old Dies Of Cancer

The story of David Spisak has touched many people. He was an 8-year-old boy with leukemia who fell in love with a girl. David's mom shared his story and it became viral.

Unfortunately, David lost his battle with cancer and passed away, PARENTING reports. "Our little man's last moments were laying with his mommy and daddy in the middle of the night, with a house full of family, friends and loved ones after days of being surrounded by love," David's Mom Amber posted on Facebook last Feb. 11.

Amber also shared on social media that David was supposed to have passed away nine to ten months ago but David was able to live on. The mother also said that David was unable to recognize the people around him the day before he died and that the boy bravely battled cancer for seven years.

Many people live for decades and then pass away without finding their true love, but David was able to fall in love at such a young age. The girl that David loved is seven-year-old Ayla, a fellow second-grade student.

According to KTLA, Ayla was one of David's classmates who really missed him when he had to finally leave school because of his declining health. She sent many cards to David saying how much she missed him. Even the other classmates agree that Ayla was indeed missing David at school.

Amber got in touch with Ayla's mom Angela Andrews about the friendship of their children and the parents decided to let the two go on a "date". Amber shared pictures of David and Ayla's "first date" on social media which became viral.

During their date, Ayla pushed around David's wheelchair, helped him play bowling and ate pizza with him, according to KTLA. Ayla's mom Angela said that David's story can teach every person about the most important thing in life. "Just to love. Because that's what's important," Angela told KTLA. "At the end of every day that's what's important. Who loves you and who you love back."
