Charlie Hunnam and Dakota to be Christian Grey and Anastasia of ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’

The wait is over! British actor Charlie Hunnam will be the sexy Christian Grey, the protagonist of the movie 'Fifty Shades of Grey' and American actress Dakota Johnson will be Anastasia Steele.

After months of speculation over the casting of the movie, an adaption of the erotic novel 'Fifty Shades of Grey,' the author of the book EL James tweeted revealing the names of the lead actors. "The gorgeous and talented Charlie Hunnam will be Christian Grey in the film adaptation of Fifty Shades of Grey," James tweeted.

Charlie, 33, is popular for his roles in TV shows such as 'Queer as Folk' and 'Sons of Anarchy.' He also acted in the movies 'Cold Mountain,' 'Children of Men' and 'The Ledge' and the very recent blockbuster 'Pacific Rim.'

Twenty-three-year-old Dakota, daughter of Don and Melanie Griffith, appeared with Justin Timberlake in 'The Social Network.' She was also seen in the U.S. TV show 'Ben and Kate' and the comedy flicks '21 Jump Street' and 'The Five-Year Engagement.'

The movie, slated to release in August 2014, revolves around the sexually-charged relationship of businessman Christian and a college student Anastasia. Filmmaker Sam Taylor-Johnson will direct the much anticipated movie.

Ever since the novel hit the shelves, it has created a storm. The 50-year-old author James reportedly earned $95 Million last year following massive readership of the books 'Fifty Shades of Grey' and 'Fifty Shades Freed.'

Actors such as Ryan Gosling, Channing Tatum and actress Emilia Clarke were in the rumored-list for the roles of Christian and Anastasia.
