'Friends' 2016 Reunion Update: Cast Will Give You Major Nostalgia, Revelations and More

Fans of the 90s comedy series "Friends" would feel nostalgic as their favorite characters, Jennifer Aniston, Matte LeBlanc, Lisa Kudrow, David Schwimmer and Courteney Cox, were seen together in a video. The clip was released by NBC for the TV special tribute to James Burrows, the director who handled their show for 15 episodes.

The casts were seen happily talking as they recalled how the 75-year-old director drove them to be "real-life friends," according to Mashable. "He really encouraged us all to sort of get along, and get to know one another, and be kind to one another, and support one another, and watch one another, and help one another," the 48-year-old role of Joey said.

"We instinctively felt like, we need to be friends and we need to get along and we need to connect," the 52-year-old actress, who played Phoebe, added when she remembered how Burrows let them used his spacious dressing room to play poker and chill, which turned into an episode idea.

Meanwhile, after the years have passed, the gang just recently realized that they have to audition for Burrows for a couple of times, Daily Express reported. In fact, Kudrow reminisced the time when someone called her back to try another trial of her role as "Smelly Cat" singer Phoebe Boufet.

Her costars looked confused as she said, "But I had to come in and audition for Jimmy." Burrows, on the other hand, gave an awkward smile as she exposed the scenario. Unfortunately, Matthew Perry was not around because of his busy schedule as he's about to launch his playwright in a London play, titled "West End in The End of Longing."

But, the 46-year-old who starred as Chandler Bing will be featured in the said special to "introduce his fellow five friends." The show has a title, "Must See TV: An All Star Tribute to James Burrows," which will be seen on NBC on Feb. 21 with other casts and stars from "Cheers," "Fraiser," "The Big Bang Theory," "Taxi" and many more.
