'The Walking Dead' Season 6 Spoilers & Update: Rick Grimes, Michonne Hook Up A One-Night Stand? Is Daryl In Danger Of Leaving 'TWD?'

A surprising ending to "The Walking Dead" Season 6 Episode 10 got long-time "TWD" followers in a tizzy. Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln, "Teachers") and Michonne (Danai Gurira, "The Visitor") hooking up after all was a possibility that fans did not expect to realize so quickly in "The Walking Dead Season 6." A fresh period of moping by Rick Grimes had been expected after the death of his supposed true love Jessie Anderson (Alexandra Breckenridge, "She's The Man").

However, with Jessie Anderson out of the picture, fans did wonder if Michonne will take her place. In creator Robert Kirkman's comic book version of "The Walking Dead," Andrea Harrison (Laurie Holden, "Dumb and Dumber To"), would have begun coming together with Rick Grimes at this point. However, Andrea Harrison was removed from the scene when she died after her romance with The Governor (David Morrissey, "The Other Boleyn Girl").

The Hollywood Reporter's report, though, may indicate that "Richonne" in "The Walking Dead" Season 6 Episode 10 may not be a long-lasting union between Rick Grimes and Michonne. Producer Scott Gimple laid out how they will work the Andrea Harrison angle into the rest of the episodes of "The Walking Dead."

"My plan always was to still portray those aspects of Andrea and break them up among a lot of different characters - even in some cases, a few male characters," Gimple told The Hollywood Reporter. "I'm trying to play out those Andrea storylines but in different contexts and characters having those stories."

The Daily Beast recounts the words that Rick Grimes said before he initiated the hook up with Michonne. "I just want to turn my brain off for a minute," Grimes said. Despite Michonne's feelings for Rick Grimes, which she told Spencer Monroe (Austin Nichols, "One Tree Hill"), a "Richonne" all the way through is not a guaranteed thing.

"Richonne" issues aside, Paul Rovio aka Jesus (Tom Payne, "The Physician") of the Hilltop Colony showing up on "The Walking Dead" Season 6 Episode 10 is a welcome sighting. It portends exciting things to come, things that have to do with Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan, "The Good Wife") and his dread bat Lucille.

The Daily Beast points out that just as the "The Walking Dead" TV series tends to stir a few mixes into Kirkman's comic book treatment of the story, Negan and Lucille may actually victimize someone other than Glenn Rhee (Steven Yeun, "I Origins"). The Daily Beast says that both Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus, "Silent Hills P.T.") and Morgan Jones (Lennie James, "Destiny" video game) have been mentioned as possible alternates to take Glenn's place.

Whether or not "The Walking Dead Season 6" build up to Negan's appearance will lead to Glenn, Morgan or Daryl getting eliminated from the show will be revealed in due time - or sooner. "The Walking Dead" airs every Monday on AMC.
