An infant girl with cancer was found dead in Syracuse, New York on Feb. 23 and according to police reports, it was the father of the child who is responsible for her death. Ryan Lawrence, admitted the crime of burning his own child and dumping her body in the lake after the police found him.

In a news report published by Syracuse.com, Maddox Lawrence, 21 months old, was first reported missing by her mother, Morgan, on the evening of Feb. 20. She said that her husband along with their daughter were supposed to pick her up from work that day, but that didn't happen. She then filed for an Amber Alert the next morning, but it was cancelled on Feb. 23 after police found her daughter's body around noontime.

The publication made a follow-up report about the case and said that Ryan Lawrence, the child's father was now charged with second-degree murder for burning and killing his own daughter. Lawrence confessed to the police that he murdered his child in Labrador Hollow, south of Syracuse on Saturday. He then drove to Destiny USA and finally dumped her body in the Onondaga Creek.

The alleged culprit would still have to undergo trial to wait for his final sentence until the prosecutors finished due process of his case to make sure that he is guilty beyond reasonable doubt and that his confession was acquired legally and not forced by the authorities. According to the DA, a grand jury would be involved in this case and all information about this murder would be submitted to them starting next week.
