A Manchester teenager was fatally stabbed in a pub garden in north Manchester, prompting an official murder investigation and several arrests.

Greater Manchester Police said officers, paramedics, and the air ambulance were all called to Nevin Road in the New Moston area of Manchester at around 17:00 BST. Authorities revealed that they have already arrested three individuals in connection with the killing.

Superintendent Marcus Noden said the case was "distressing and heartbreaking," noting that a boy tragically lost his life. He also encouraged witnesses to come forward to provide information on what they knew about the incident.

Officials said they are still trying to establish the circumstances around the killing and have already cordoned off several nearby areas, including outside the Fairway Inn Pub on Nuthurst Rd.

On the other hand, detectives said that the victim's family was already receiving support from specialist officers following the incident. Noden added that officials wanted to get information from "anyone who was in the Nevin Road area" who saw the incident take place, according to BBC.

After cordoning off nearby areas, the Fairway Inn Pub was the subject of police searches and investigations throughout the night to find more evidence about the killing. Some witnesses have claimed that the victim was attacked near the pub and then ran to a property on Nevin Road.

Noden said that witnesses who may have seen the incident can provide information by reporting to or calling 101, which can be done anonymously, via the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, the Manchester Evening News reported.

Pictures of the scene of the incident showed a large police presence and several areas cordoned off. One resident also said that they observed the heartbreaking crime, adding that the victim allegedly said multiple times, "I don't want to die" after he entered their residence.

A Tragic Incident

Another tragic incident was when a teenager died in a motorbike crash in Salford late last month. Now, the victim's mother paid tribute to her "lovable" son and expressed her gratitude to the community for the overwhelming support she has received.

The 16-year-old victim was identified as Kailem Robinson, who was with the other fatality, 17-year-old Kaine Darby, when the motorbike they were riding collided with a car on Lower Broughton Road on May 22, 2025.

Kailem's mother, Jill, described her son as a caring and popular individual who had a "cheeky smile" as well as an "infectious laugh." She added that her son was polite and always tried to help other people out, as per Yahoo News.
