'Scream Queens' Season 2 Release Date, Cast News & Update: Nick Jonas Teases Return, Harry Styles To Join?

"Scream Queens" hasn't been on air since its season 1 finale in December. Just a couple of months after the show wrapped up, more and more details have emerged about "Scream Queens" season 2; such as Emma Roberts' return and the introduction of some new characters.

Emma Roberts already confirmed her return to "Scream Queens" season 2 as Chanel Oberlin, but fans have been kept on their toes as other cast members (like Lea Michele, Jamie Lee Curtis, Abigail Breslin, and Keke Palmer to name a few) await their "Scream Queens" fate.

Reports have previously claimed that "Scream Queens" season 2 would not be taking place inside the campus ground of Wallace University anymore. Instead, viewers are expected to witness more bloody scenes in a hospital setting, as confirmed by Fox.

As such, "Scream Queens" showrunner Ryan Murphy has been said to introduce for new characters in the Fox show's second season. These four new characters will be portraying the roles of doctors, presumably at the hospital where "some most fascinating and bizarre medical cases are under observation."

Meanwhile, rumors have started speculating on some real-life male pop stars who could possibly be in "Scream Queens" season 2. In fact, many have been thinking that Harry Styles might be brought into the second season of "Scream Queens."

"I don't know if this is true, but he [Ryan Murphy] said at a press thing recently that he is talking to a male pop star to come for next year," Lea Michele told InStyle last year. "If it's Harry Styles, everybody better calm down."

The one other pop star in question is Nick Jonas, whose character, Boone, was killed off twice on "Scream Queens" season 1. When asked about the possibility of a return for "Scream Queens" season 2, The "Chains" singer answered, "I don't know, I think I'm dead for real this time."

Although it is unlikely for Boone to come back from the dead a second time, Nick Jonas isn't closing the doors on a "Scream Queens" return. "Ryan Murphy is always full of surprises so maybe I'll end up on the show," Jonas concluded.

"Scream Queens" season 2 release date is sometime this fall. Stay tuned for more updates!
