Halle Berry, Olivier Martinez Reveal Surprising Baby Boy Name

Halle Berry and her husband Olivier Martinez have welcomed a healthy baby boy on Saturday in Los Angeles, and sources have leaked the name of the boy, according to TMZ.

On Monday the name of their son was leaked and it's rather unusual. The rather personal couple have chosen to name their boy Maceo Robert Martinez.

Maceo translates to "Gift Of God" and it originally comes from Spain and was popular from the ninth to 14th centuries. The name has since morphed into Matteo then Matthew over time.

The baby has indeed been a miracle for the 47-year-old Oscar winning actress. Berry called this pregnancy "a miracle", admitting that she didn't believe she would get pregnant at her age.

They reportedly selected for a middle name Robert, after the French actor's Spanish father. The last name is Martinez.

Last April, Halle Berry told CNN she was very excited and also surprised by the pregnancy. "This has been the biggest surprise of my life, to tell you the truth. I thought I was kind of past the point where this could be a reality for me. So it's been a big surprise and the most wonderful."

While Halle gave birth to her second child, her first born Nahla, was seen holding the hand of her birth father, model Gabriel Aubry. The five-year-old is reportedly thrilled with the arrival of her younger sibling.

E! Online reported that Berry had delivered her latest bundle of joy at Cedars Sinai Hospital, where countless celebrity children have been born over the years.

The new addition to the family is not the great news happening with Halle Berry this week. The Hollywood Reporterhas announced Halle's two-year, first-look production deal with CBS Television Studio. The first project she has committed to is Extant, Steven Spielberg's 13-episode astronaut thriller.

According to statements from CBS, the story focuses on a female astronaut, "who returns home from a year-long solo mission in space and tries to reconnect with her husband and son in their everyday life. Her experiences in space and home lead to events that ultimately will change the course of human history."
