"Girl Meets World" is about to conclude Season 2 in an episode entitled, "Girl Meets Legacy." As the Disney series has already been confirmed for a third season on TV, fans are thrilled to see if the upcoming season will focus on the longstanding love triangle between Riley (Rowan Blanchard), Maya (Sabrina Carpenter) and Lucas (Peyton Mayer).

Many fans already began rooting for their respective teams with some rooting for team Lucaya (Lucas and Maya) while others were rooting for team Rucas (Lucas and Riley). While it seems exciting to find out who will end up with whom in "GMW" Season 3, showrunner Michael Jacobs told The Wrap that the show is not about this love triangle alone.

"If the audience perceives that what this is about is a love triangle, then they don't know us," he said. "There is a much bigger and broader conceptual question that we are answering with what appears to be a triangle between Riley, Maya and Lucas."

Jacobs told the publication that "Girl Meets World" Season 3 will not entirely be about the love triangle between these characters; instead, the show will focus on the characters' growth. The showrunner teased that there are already hints at the pilot as to what will take place in the upcoming season.

Meanwhile, many fans are speculating that the upcoming season of the "Boy Meets World" sequel will feature an LGBT character. Many reports claim that Riley may be coming out of the closet, as actress Rowan Blanchard recently identified herself as queer, ET Online reported.

"In my life-only ever liked boys however I personally don't wanna label myself as straight, gay or whateva so I am not gonna give myself labels to stick with," Blanchard tweeted in January.
