'Fallout 4' News & Updates: Next Game Update Expected to Come This Week on Gaming Consoles

The game developer Bethesda is preparing to release the next update for "Fallout 4". The 1.4 update will come next week on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 consoles.  

"Fallout 4" is one of the best-selling games of 2015. The open-world role-playing game features an alternate world in Boston. Players must try to survive and thrive in this post-apocalyptic world following a nuclear war.

"Fallout 4" survivors on consoles will finally get access to improvements and new items to decorate their towns that PC players have already had for a few weeks. According to the website wccftech.com, Bethesda already pushed out the 1.4 patch for the PC version. The update went live a week ago through Steam. Console owners are still waiting for the patch that is expected to be released for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 later this week.

According to Venture Beat, the 1.4 update for "Fallout 4" introduces new content and fixes, as well as official support for add-ons. The overall game will get a bunch of fixes and tweaks. Fans of the "Fallout 4" game will enjoy choosing from new options of decorations for their settlements.

Bethesda is well known for its good support provided for the released games long after they have launched. "Fallout 4" debuted in November last year, but fans of the game can expect new updates at least in the next several months.

This policy provides seemingly endless content in the game and helps keeping players engaged. This way Bethesda can get players to spend cash on extra downloadable content and maximize the lifetime value of those players.

Bethesda published more details about the 1.4 update on the company' website. One of the most notable changes introduced in the "Fallout 4" 1.4 update is the support for add-ons. Additional art customization was also added to Workshop, including abstract and portrait paintings, raider clutter, super mutant clutter,a variety of new signs as well as more metal and wood doors variants.
