'Sister Wives' Cast Updates: Kody Brown And Four Wives' Move To Vegas Is All Fake Just To Boost Ratings?

There are claims that “Sister Wives” is fake. A relative said that the polygamist family's move to Las Vegas was only an attempt to boost TV ratings.

When “Sister Wives” started, Kody Brown and his four wives all resided in Utah. Fans were surprised when the family suddenly had legal problems due to being polygamists and were compelled to transfer to Las Vegas, writes Inquisitr.

They had to leave their big home and live in rented spaces, where they could not be too close to each other temporarily. In the end, they managed to build homes for the whole family and had a happy life together. According to Christine Brown’s aunt, Kristyn Decker, the move of Kody Brown and his four wives was fake and merely intended to boost publicity of "Sister Wives."

The Browns are actually involved in a lawsuit against Utah to legalize polygamy. Kristyn shared her pain and resentment against the Browns for deciding to announce the suit just before Christmas. She wondered why the family keeps secrets instead of providing a voice to the people in Utah. She added that when HB281, a bill that classified polygamy as criminal, was rejected, it was a failure in the battle against polygamy.

“They talked about moving to Vegas [to escape Utah’s anti-polygamy laws] long before they did. That was their plan and they used the State coming after them for ratings. That’s my strong opinion,” Kristyn said.

In an exclusive report by Radar Online, Kristyn used to be a polygamist as well but has since moved on from the lifestyle. She left her husband as well as the Apostolic United Brethren polygamist sect of the Latter Day Saints, the same group that the Browns are in. Christine also attacked "Sister Wives." Kristyn described her niece’s outburst as very offensive and believes that polygamists are great people, although misled.

Kristyn continued that she had her own reasons for leaving her husband. Aside from her husband’s behavior, she realized all the dangers that a polygamist lifestyle posed on her. She said that she left polygamy before she left her husband.
