'Red Dead Redemption 2' Release Date, News & Update: Title Will Be Bigger Than 'GTA V'; Coming Out In 2017

For "Red Dead Redemption" fans who have been looking forward to its sequel, here's the latest scope we have about the game.

According to Movie Pilot, an email was sent to Fraghero with details about the anticipated title, "Red Dead Redemption 2." Based on the email, the new "Red Dead Redemption" title will be called "Red Dead Redemption 2: Legends Of The West" and hold your breath because the title is coming in August 2017.

This report only confirms prior reports about "Red Dead Redemption 2" that leaks a year ago. A former Rockstar developer named AnonDN1978 revealed that the next "Red Dead Redemption" game would be called, " Red Dead Redemption 2: Legends of the West." He added that the upcoming title is a prequel to the first game and that it will be coming to current-gen consoles with a PC released to follow a month after the console release, WCCFTech reported.

Parent Herald previously reported that "Red Dead Redemption 2" will be announced in E3, which is schedule in June and the email confirmed this. Moreover, the upcoming title will include more than one playable character and will feature a much bigger open world compared to the first title.

AnonDN1978 disclosed that "Red Dead Redemption 2" will have three playable characters, two of which are from the original title and one is completely new. The two main characters are Seth and Irish. The third character is one that gamers create to multiplayer in "GTA V."

According to CinemaBlend, "Red Dead Redemption 2" will be bigger than "GTA V."

Rockstar has not verified these reports yet. Thus, one should take it with a grain of salt.
