‘Jurassic World’ 2 Cast, News: Bryce Dallas Howard Gets CinemaCon 2016 Award For Claire Dearing, Will Feathered Dinosaurs Be In Sequels?

"Jurassic World" showed Bryce Dallas Howard as Claire Dearing fighting off dinosaurs in flimsy heels. Bryce Dallas Howard, however, contributed so much more as Claire Dearing to "Jurassic World." Fittingly, the CinemaCon 2016 Award for Excellence in Acting for a female performer will go to Bryce Dallas Howard.

ComingSoon.Net reports that Managing Director of CinemaCon 2016, Mitch Neuhauser, announced the decision to honor Bryce Dallas Howard not just for her contribution to "Jurassic World" but also for other notable films.

"A talented and versatile actress, Bryce Dallas Howard has entertained audiences around the globe with stellar performances in such films as 'The Village,' 'The Help,' '50/50′ and, of course, 2015's monster box-office juggernaut 'Jurassic World,'" Neuhauser announced. "CinemaCon is thrilled to have this opportunity to honor such a talented actress at this year's final night Big Screen Achievement Award Ceremony."

The CinemaCon award is an honor given by The National Association of Theatre Owners (NATO). The award will be given to Bryce Dallas Howard at the end of the CinemaCon 2016 convention, held from April 11 to 14 at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.

Having Bryce Dallas Howard receive such a recognition can only build up the excitement over "Jurassic World" 2. Bryce Dallas Howard will reprise her role, with the possible shift of focus in "Jurassic World" 2 on Claire Dearing. A separate article by Parent Herald reports about how Claire Dearing is an underrated character in "Jurassic World."

Still, Bryce Dallas Howard successfully imparted the capabilities that Claire Dearing possessed to make a credible transition into a pivotal focus for "Jurassic World" 2. Besides Claire Dearing coming into her own in "Jurassic World" 2, dinosaurs featured in the sequel are expected to display the dynamics of honed war instincts.

Interestingly, dinosaur expert Jack Horner who was a consultant for the "Jurassic Park" films explained that the mainstream idea of dinosaurs may be far from the truth. ABC reports that Jack Horner pointed out how dinosaurs may have actually sang rather than roared and had feathers rather than scales.

Contrary to what "Jurassic Park" and "Jurassic World" helped popularize, dinosaurs may have actually been predecessors of birds rather than of lizards. The dinosaurs of "Jurassic Park" and "Jurassic World," with their reptilian scales and thunderous roars are fictional genetic modifications. Jack Horner pointed out that this was emphasized in "Jurassic World." Given the evolutions that the first film and "Jurassic World" 2 are espousing, the idea of an equally scary feathered dinosaur in the coming instalments is not far-fetched.

Fans are now eagerly waiting for news on who will take over from Colin Trevorrow as director for "Jurassic World" 2. Bryce Dallas Howard and Chris Pratt will be seen in "Jurassic World" 2 on June 22, 2018.
