The Daily Health Post shared some anti-cancer tips for children. Being aware of the popular kids' snacks that can cause cancer is important in protecting the health of your children.

1. Pop Tarts

Pop Tarts, especially the frosted strawberry flavor, contain potentially harmful ingredients. Pop Tarts have sugary ingredients such as high fructose corn syrup, sugar and dextrose which can cause diabetes and liver problems. Pop Tarts also have TBHQ which is an ingredient that can damage human DNA and cause cellular problems.

2. Fruit Snacks

Many parents choose kids' snacks that are fruit-based because of they think that these snacks are healthy. However, many fruit-based snacks contain food coloring such as Red 3 that might cause tumors of the thyroid gland.

3. M & Ms

This popular chocolate snack for kids is potentially harmful if consumed too frequently. "Alongside red 40, yellow 6 and yellow 5, these chocolates are often colored by using blue 2, which is known to cause tumors in the brain and bladder, as well as blue 1, which inhibits the development of nerve cells," The Daily Health Post explains.

4. Cheetos

According to the Daily Health Post, Cheetos are potentially dangerous for using yellow 6 coloring and a mix of different flavorings which can be toxic to the body. The "Flamin' Hot" flavor was also reported to have caused abdominal and gastrointestinal problems.

5. Teddy Grahams

Teddy Grahams is also one of the popular kids' snacks that can cause cancer. "These tiny bears are laced with TBHQ, which has also been shown to cause stomach cancer in lab rats, fragment DNA and cause damage to the human lung and umbilical cells," David Wolfe shared.
